Hawaii Wedding Hair & Makeup

Hair and Makeup for Hawaii Weddings

Makeup for photography is a completely different art form than makeup to just look pretty and go dancing. Having performed Hawaii weddings for more than half of my life, it is my conclusion that women generally aren’t the greatest at doing hair and makeup. Now, I know what I am about to say is even more politically incorrect but please hear me out. In my very biased opinion, gay male hair and makeup artists just can’t be beat! Consequently, we only use gay guys to make our brides look their best for their Hawaii weddings and photo shoots. Heck, our makeup artists make ugly men look like beautiful women so imagine what they can do for our brides. Check out some of the before and after images below.

Let me first begin by saying thank you Captain Howie for your incredible hair and makeup services!

Wade, you are an amazing makeup artist. When I first made arrangements for hair & makeup for my Hawaii wedding, I was skeptical to say the least. I looked at the photos online and only saw pictures of women I could not identify with because none were African American. That being said, I was uncertain about the skills/experience you may have had on my particular race as far as hair texture & makeup are concerned. I feared I would look like a clown but I was nowhere close. Your creativity allowed you to work your magic. You took into consideration my conservative values and the fact that I've never worn makeup before and created a work of art that even left my husband speechless with joy.

Hours after our Hawaian wedding, my makeup was still flawless enough to attend a luau that evening. I was so taken aback by the face in the mirror that I was reluctant to wash my face at the end of the evening, but hygiene demanded it. A special thank you to Wade. And, I testify to all those women of ANY race who are as skeptical as I was: relax, sit back in his chair, and let the man work. He knows his craft. He is talented!
